   I havn't been able to run with team because of a soccer camp i have been helping with. But i got done with that at about noon and went and ran a nice 3 mile loop out around my house. It was pretty hot outside but besides the heat i felt really great during the run.

Another day in the heat. but during my run i figured out probably one of my best ideas yet. why not just run in the morning before the soccer camp? I'm really glad that it only took me 4 days of running in the heat to figure that out and now i only have one more day of the camp.

My first day running with the team this summer. Its really good to be back running with everyone its for sure a lot better than just running by yourself. I felt really good during the run.

I went up to big bear lake up in california for the past few days i loved the whole trip we went parasailing and ziplining an stuff like that but i made sure that i got my runs in each day. I went 4 miles each day up there where the weather was much nicer than it is here it was a lot cooler and it was nice to have a change of scenery too with huge pine trees and a nice lake. I found i nice little loop around where we stayed that ran along the lake. I had a great time running up there and didn't really want to come back but I'm glad to be back and to start running with the team again.

Started off with a 2 mile warm up then did the 6 min VO2 max test. i didn't do nearly as well as i was hoping to do on it. Then finished with a one mile cool down.

Did two laps on the parkway hill loop. It was tough at first to push up the hill at first because my legs still weren't used to running like that so on the first one i didn't feel that great. but on the second one i was feeling much better for some reason and pushed up the hill and felt much better about it after.

Today we had our 15 min Vo2 test on the dirt mile. I got just over 2.5 miles so i felt like i did pretty decent. But i feel like i could have done better because from not running for awhile it feels like i've kind of forgotten how to just keep pushing when i get tired. So i'm gonna try to work on that. But all in all i felt pretty good about the run.

We started with a one mile warm up then did our 30/30 workout. I ran with David and Josh on this and all three of us were supposed to be hitting 138 meters. The first few were just us trying to figure out the right speed to be running but by the time we hit the fourth or fifth we pretty much had it down. When we got to around 25 is when it started to get a little difficult but we all kept pushing when we got to the 30s it felt like i was slowing down a little and i was glad that i had those two to run with. it made it feel like it was a lot easier to keep going. And i'm really proud that all three of us stuck together and finished number 40.

Did three one mile repeats up on the dirt mile our pace was way easy it was hard to hit our pace not because it was too fast but because i was used to going faster on repeats. i was getting thirty seconds faster than what i was supposed to be hitting. So i guess i need to work on my pacing a little better from now on.

Did our 30/30 workout again this time was a lot more difficult than the last time we did it because i did a lot more on the recovery and went a little farther on the distance and i got to the 24th one.

Did 6 mile run down in hells hole. My legs were feeling kind of sore during the run probably because i havnt really ran any hills all summer.

Went and did 8 miles with hunter up the washington dam road. It was the farthest i've ever went on a run before it felt like a pretty long run but surprisingly i felt a lot better than i thought i would because of how sore i was yesterday.

AM

We did three one mile repeats up on the dirt mile. Again it was a super easy pace and i hit a little to fast on my first one when i got a 7:08. after the first one i decided i was just going to try to finish them off being consistent which i ended up getting kind of close to. On the second i got 7:14 then 7:04.

Went out and did an easy three miles out to arctic circle. the first of many many to come this year. The heat wasn't as bad as i expected it to be. The first few minutes of the run were kind of hard but i got use to the heat pretty quick.

30/30 workout again today. I went a little farther distance on them this time. I was going just below 150 meters. It was good to run with matt on them because we both were pushing each other to keep going. The first few of them were kind of hard just to get warmed up and used to the speed but around 10 i started to feel really good. My goal was to get at least 20 reps and i got to 21.

AM

Went down into hells hole and did a little hill workout. Did five ten second bounders and 5 ten second hill bursts. I felt pretty good during the workout but on the run back my legs were feeling kind of sore.

My first nine mile run. This morning i wasnt really looking forward to the long run because of how sore i was yesterday but i decided to get up and go. The first few miles i felt really good but towards the 3 mile mark we started to hit some hills and it started to get a little harder but it wasnt bad. What made the run out there kind of hard was the fact that i was just waiting for the turnaround to come. It seemed like it took forever to get out there but once we hit the turnaround it felt like the run back was way easy and didnt seem like it took nearly as long. Overall it was a lot easier than i had thought it was going to be. Im feeling a little sore but weve got an easier run tomorrow so it should be fine.

Today was the first day that my achilles had acted up in a long time. On the first two it hurting but i decided to try the third to see if it would get better and by the fourth one was done it wasnt that bad at all.

Today i woke up pretty mad because i was looking forward to doing our 30/30 workout today but i woke up at 9:30 (which felt pretty good) and i dont know how that happened cuz i dont remember my alarm ever going off and it was still on. So i decided i needed to at least go out and do the mileage that we had today so i went out and ran a 5 mile loop out around my house and went a little faster that a usual run would be. My achilles didnt bother me at all today so hopefully that will continue.

Today i felt was my best 30/30 workout that we have done this summer. I was going a little faster than i have been and i got to number 24. I think im finally getting back to where i can keep pushing myself to go farther.

Had to wake up super early to get over to coaches house so we could get up to enterprise. We got up there and kinda wandered around and found some restrooms in a church and when we came out everyone was gone... thats when we figured out we were supposed to get on the buses (which i thought were from schools) to get drove up to the start of the race. Luckily we found a ride up there but we only got about a quarter mile in for warmup.

Before the race coach told me to stick with byron and abel for at least the first mile so i did my best to do that. I started the race and i had forgotten how fast you actually run for a race. But i stayed with them for almost the whole first mile but dropped off right before the marker with a about a 5:20 pace. The second mile definately felt slower than the first but i had told myself that i was going to at least keep up with matt for the race. I stayed with him the second mile but he slowly got a little farther ahead. I made sure not to let him get too far ahead and picked it up towards the end of the 3rd mile and was catching matt and ended up finishing just 2 seconds behind. I forgot how fast 5ks go by it felt way faster than last year. i dont really know how i feel about the race because i felt like i was running a faster time than i got but i also kept up with matt which was one of my goals of the race and what i try to do all the time. But  i think this race helped me get back to being able to push myself again.

For me it was one of the harder workouts but i felt pretty good the whole time until after the last one when i think i went a little too fast. which made the run back kind of bad but it was nice to get a tough workout done.
